Speaking during an interview on News Central, Oshoma questioned the handling of certain cases at the Court of Appeal, particularly the implications of its rulings on ongoing political matters. He noted that a situation where an appeal is declared incompetent should ordinarily bring proceedings on that matter to an end, without further pronouncements that could influence the case.

Citing a specific instance, Oshoma explained that the appellate court ruled an appeal incompetent but still issued an order for “status quo antebellum,” a directive that typically restores parties to their previous positions. According to him, such an order suggests substantive engagement with the case, which contradicts the court’s earlier position declaring the appeal invalid.

He argued that this approach creates legal ambiguity and may be interpreted as overstepping, especially when the matter is still before a lower court. Oshoma warned that such decisions could inadvertently affect ongoing proceedings and complicate the resolution of disputes.

The analyst also highlighted the broader implications of such rulings, noting that stakeholders, including electoral authorities, may rely on these interpretations in ways that influence party leadership structures and political alignments.

He emphasized the importance of strict adherence to judicial procedures, particularly in politically sensitive cases, to prevent confusion and maintain public confidence in the legal system. Oshoma concluded that clarity and consistency in court decisions are essential for safeguarding democratic processes and ensuring fairness in political disputes.

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
