Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George, has reacted to the controversial comments made by Femi Gbajabiamila regarding the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
According to a report by Daily Trust, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was filmed encouraging a member of the House of Representatives, Leke Abejide, to remain in the ADC and “scatter the party”
He said: “I know you to be a committed party man, someone who does not like to be cheated. So please, stay in that same ADC. Fight them. Scatter them. Hold on to your party. Do not abandon it.”
In an interview with Arise News Television on Wednesday, Bode George condemned these remarks by Femi Gbajabiamila and demanded that he made a public apology for encouraging division in an opposition party.
The PDP Cheiftain said: “I have also seen the video of my younger brother Femi Gbajabiamila. People make mistakes but I did not under any circumstances believe that he would make that kind of mistake. He was utterly wrong and he must apologize to the public on that statement, that is my stance. He is my brother and I can not denounce him.”
