Israel’s military has declared a heightened state of readiness after fragments from an Iranian ballistic missile landed near the southern city of Eilat, prompting a strong warning from Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir that the country is prepared to retaliate if threatened.
According to Jerusalem Post, the incident occurred on Sunday when Iran launched a ballistic missile toward Jordan.
