Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has triggered reactions on social media after sharing a humorous comment about Arsenal and the Video Assistant Referee system, popularly known as VAR.
In a post shared through his personal X handle on Sunday, May 10, 2026, the minister compared a late VAR decision involving Arsenal to a Supreme Court ruling.
“Arsenal just got a sound judgement of the Supreme Court of VAR in the last minute,” Keyamo wrote.
The post quickly attracted attention from football fans and political followers, many of whom flooded the comment section with humorous and sarcastic responses linking football controversies with Nigeria’s political landscape.
One user identified as Brown Bright reacted by saying, “Just like the Supreme Court of Nigeria,” a comment that appeared to reference past political and electoral disputes decided by the apex court.
