According to a report by The Times of Israel on Sunday, July 19, 2026, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has claimed that an intelligence breach that allowed Israel to assassinate former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has likely not been fixed.
Speaking in a Persian-language interview, Araghchi said the information leak enabled Israel to target a high-level meeting in Tehran on February 28, during which Khamenei was killed.
