BREAKING: “No Plans for Talks” Iran Rejects New US Talks, Accuses Washington of Ignoring Lessons

According to Al-Jazeera, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei (also spelled Esmail Baghaei) declared on Monday that Tehran has no plans for a new round of negotiations with the United States, warning that Washington is failing to learn from past experiences and that its approach will yield no positive results.

Speaking amid heightened tensions, Baqaei criticised the US for maintaining its naval blockade of Iranian ports and for what he described as contradictory and “maximalist” demands.

He stressed that the ongoing blockade constitutes a clear violation of the fragile ceasefire and has created an atmosphere of suspicion rather than trust.

The statement comes just days after Iran briefly reopened the Strait of Hormuz only to close it again at the weekend in protest against the US actions.

The strategic waterway, which handles roughly one-fifth of global oil and LNG shipments, remains a flashpoint.

Oil prices, which had plunged more than 10% on Friday amid brief hopes of de-escalation, rebounded sharply on Monday.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose about 5% to trade near $88–89 per barrel, while Brent crude gained around 4–5% to hover near $94–95 per barrel, reflecting renewed supply disruption fears.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed optimism, claiming the two sides are “very close to a deal” with “no sticking points,” and has renewed threats to target Iranian infrastructure if no agreement is reached.

However, Iran has firmly rejected any transfer of its enriched uranium stockpile and insists that lifting the blockade is a precondition for any further talks.

Only one inconclusive 21-hour negotiating session has been held so far in Islamabad on April 11.

Iranian officials say the overall atmosphere remains far from positive, and no date has been set for a second round despite US announcements that its delegation would be in Pakistan.

Analysts warn that without a comprehensive resolution on Iran’s nuclear programme and the lifting of the blockade, the ceasefire — already strained after seven weeks of crisis — remains highly vulnerable to sudden escalation.

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor.
