Several reactions have trailed the comment that was made by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy after Kogi lawmaker, Leke Abejide announced that he will be joining a new party.

The reaction of Bayo Onanuga was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Friday, May 1, 2026.

In the report that surfaced online, Leke Abejide stated that the African Democratic Congress, ADC is a condemned vehicle.

He said;

“I have decided to change the broken bricks in the ADC and become a cornerstone in a better political party with a strong structure that will benefit my people”.

However, Bayo Onanuga has now shared his thoughts after the post surfaced online. In a statement that he shared on his official X handle, he said Peter Obi and other people are planning to leave the ADC.
