According to a report by Fox News, on Tuesday April 28, 2026, amid mounting tensions and stalled ceasefire negotiations with Tehran, Fox News senior strategic analyst and retired General Jack Keane is urging the U.S. government to intensify covert pressure on the Iranian leadership.

Keane argued that current economic pressures are already destabilizing the regime and that intelligence agencies should move aggressively to exploit these vulnerabilities.

“At the same time, if we’re not already doing it, I think the MOSSAD and C.I.A. should do everything they can to undermine this regime,” Keane stated. “The regime is getting weaker by the day as the economic issues begin to really take its toll.”
