Emmanuel Godson Odiniya, father of BBNaija All Stars winner Ilebaye, has spoken about the misunderstanding between him and his daughter, saying she refused to help him financially during a health challenge.
According to report by DAILY TRUST on Monday May 11 2026, Emmanuel said he needed money for a medical check-up in Dubai and begged Ilebaye to lend him some money because the funds he was expecting had not arrived. He said she told him she had no money.
Mr Odiniya said he was surprised because just a week before, he saw his daughter spraying bundles of money at the wedding of her colleague, Cross. He explained that he has nothing against Ilebaye supporting her friends, but felt hurt that she could not support her own father when he needed help.

“I told my daughter, ‘I’m lacking resources, please borrow me a certain amount of money, the money I’m expecting hasn’t come.’ My daughter told me she doesn’t have money.”
