U.S. President Donald Trump said he delayed a planned military strike on Iran after receiving urgent appeals from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, as diplomatic efforts continue toward a possible nuclear agreement.
He stated that Washington remains ready to take military action if negotiations collapse, stressing that pressure on Iran over its nuclear programme will not be eased.
In an interview aired by DRM News, Trump said, “We’ve taken a country that was going to have a nuclear weapon, and we’ve virtually destroyed its military. They have no navy. They have no air force. They’ve been virtually destroyed militarily.”
