Peter Obi, donated N10 million to the Thomas Moore College of Health Sciences and Technology in Bauchi State, shortly after meeting with the state governor, Bala Mohammed.
Following the recent post of the leadership newspapers, on Thursday, 23rd April, 2026, The donation formed part of Obi’s ongoing engagements across the country, where he continues to advocate increased investment in critical sectors such as education and healthcare.
During his visit to the institution, Obi stressed the need for sustained support for health training institutions, noting that improving Nigeria’s healthcare system begins with properly equipping schools responsible for training medical personnel. He added that strategic investment in human capital development remains key to national progress.
The former Anambra State governor explained that the financial support would help improve infrastructure and learning conditions at the college, thereby enhancing the quality of healthcare professionals being trained.
Obi also encouraged students of the institution to remain focused and committed to their studies, describing them as vital to the country’s future development.
His visit to Bauchi State, including the meeting with Governor Mohammed, is seen as part of his continued outreach and engagement with stakeholders across different regions of the country.
