Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman Ola Olukoyede has challenged Nigerians to examine their own personal integrity before criticising their political leaders.
Speaking in a media coverage on Channels TV, Olukoyede said, “Now, for whatever reason you abuse Mr. President for today, we abused the one before him. We abused the one before that one. And now when they leave office, we regret it and we want to bring them back, the same people we used our mouths to abuse. And these people come from our own society. So shouldn’t we blame ourselves as Nigerians? We produce them.”
Olukoyede said his daily experience reviewing investigation files has shown him that the abuse of public office is widespread and deeply embedded across Nigerian society.
He noted with particular concern that some religious leaders preach accountability and integrity from their pulpits while privately doing the opposite, and stressed that true change demands more than words and that it requires Nigerians at every level, including those in positions of moral authority, to consistently practise what they preach.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
