Ola Olukoyede, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), recently disclosed details of an investigation involving Jerry Eze during a public event.
Speaking on the commission’s operations and commitment to tackling financial crimes, he revealed that Pastor Jerry Eze had been under investigation for a period of eight months over allegations related to money laundering.
According to him, the EFCC carried out a thorough and intelligence-driven probe before arriving at its conclusions. Emphasizing the commission’s approach, Olukoyede stated that their actions are not arbitrary but are guided by credible information and formal complaints.
In his words, “I investigated Pastor Jerry Eze for eight months for money laundering. We work by intelligence, we work by petition.”
He further explained that the EFCC remains committed to upholding transparency and accountability in all its dealings, regardless of the individual involved.
