According to Aljazeera News, President Donald Trump made a series of bold claims, joking that he could run for prime minister of Israel after asserting he enjoys 99% support in the country.
Speaking to reporters about the ongoing war on Iran, Trump also made a striking declaration about his influence over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying the longtime leader would comply with his wishes.
“I have 99% support in Israel, I could run for prime minister of Israel, Trump said. “You know that, I could run for prime minister of Israel.
The president then turned his attention to the conflict with Iran, asserting firm control over U.S. ally Israel’s actions. “Netanyahu will do everything I want him to do, Trump stated without elaboration.

While Trump has long touted his pro-Israel record including moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, his claim of near-universal Israeli support and direct command over Netanyahu’s decisions is unverified.
