According to a report by Anadolu Agency on Sunday, May 10, 2026, Donald Trump has rejected a new response from Iran to a United States proposal aimed at ending hostilities between both sides, describing the Iranian position as “totally unacceptable.”
In a post shared on his social media platform Truth Social on Sunday, Trump expressed strong dissatisfaction with Tehran’s reply, stating that he had reviewed the document submitted by Iran’s representatives but did not agree with its content.
“I have just read the response from Iran’s so-called ‘Representatives.’ I don’t like it TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!” he wrote, signalling continued tension in the diplomatic exchange despite ongoing mediation efforts.
The comments came just hours after Iranian state media reported that Tehran had officially transmitted its response to the latest U.S. peace proposal through Pakistani intermediaries. According to reports, the communication was delivered to Islamabad-based mediators, who have played a role in facilitating indirect dialogue between both sides.
Iran’s state news agency, IRNA, stated that the response addressed broader issues related to ending what Tehran describes as an imposed war involving the United States and Israel. It also reportedly included proposals connected to regional stability and maritime security.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting network, IRIB, further indicated that Tehran’s position emphasised the need for a comprehensive halt to hostilities across multiple fronts, including ongoing tensions in Lebanon and the wider Middle East, as well as the protection of international shipping routes.
The development comes against the backdrop of continued instability in the region. Although a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon has been in place since mid-April, reports indicate that military exchanges and airstrikes have persisted in certain areas, with sporadic clashes involving Hezbollah forces.
Tensions escalated significantly earlier in the year following military strikes involving the United States and Israel against Iranian-linked targets, which prompted retaliatory actions by Tehran and its allies. The resulting confrontation reportedly affected regional maritime activity, including heightened concerns over navigation in key waterways.
Efforts to stabilise the situation have involved multiple rounds of indirect diplomacy, including mediation facilitated by Pakistan. While a temporary ceasefire framework was reached earlier in the year, subsequent negotiations in Islamabad failed to produce a permanent agreement. The truce was later extended without a fixed deadline in an effort to allow continued diplomatic engagement.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
