According to a report by PUNCH on Friday, May 1, 2026, a landlord in Lagos has narrated a disturbing incident involving one of his tenants, a woman who allegedly attacked her teenage daughter during a heated domestic confrontation at their residence.

The account, which has drawn attention on social media, described how the situation escalated inside the home after the mother accused her daughter of entering a locked kitchen and taking food without permission.

According to the landlord’s version of events, the girl explained that she was hungry and went into the kitchen in search of something to eat. However, this explanation reportedly did not calm the situation, as the disagreement quickly turned violent.

It was alleged that the confrontation escalated to the point where the woman physically assaulted the child and used a knife during the incident. The landlord said attempts by neighbours and others to resolve the dispute at the scene were unsuccessful as tensions continued to rise.

He further stated that the matter became more complicated after authorities were contacted, leading to further escalation of the situation rather than immediate resolution.

The incident has raised concerns among residents about domestic conflict resolution and child protection within residential communities, with many calling for calm and proper intervention when such disputes arise.

In recent years, Lagos has recorded several similar domestic violence cases involving family disputes that escalated into physical confrontations, prompting renewed calls for stronger community awareness and quicker response from relevant authorities.

Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the reported incident to determine what transpired and ensure appropriate action is taken where necessary.

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor.
