Former Kano Deputy Governor, Nasiru Gawuna has stepped down from his position as Chairman of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria.
His resignation takes immediate effect, bringing a sudden end to his tenure at the housing finance institution.
The decision followed a directive linked to the administration of President Bola Tinubu. Sources within government circles indicate that the resignation was not entirely unexpected, as consultations had been ongoing in recent days.
Gawuna’s exit is also tied to his political plans. He has reportedly concluded arrangements to leave his current political platform and join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The move is said to be in alignment with a former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who is also believed to be perfecting a similar defection plan.
Insiders say both men have been in talks over a broader strategy to reposition themselves politically. Their expected switch to the ADC is seen as part of efforts to build a stronger coalition ahead of upcoming political contests. The planned defection is expected to be formalised on Tuesday.
Gawuna, a former deputy governor of Kano State, has remained an influential figure in northern politics.
Officials at the bank are yet to issue a detailed statement on the leadership transition. However, internal sources say administrative processes are already underway to ensure continuity in operations.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
