US President Donald Trump has strongly criticized a vote in the House of Representatives aimed at restricting his authority to continue military operations against Iran, arguing that lawmakers are interfering at a crucial stage of ongoing negotiations.
In a post published on Truth Social on Thursday, Trump dismissed the House action as largely symbolic and accused both Democrats and a small group of Republicans of attempting to undermine his administration while sensitive diplomatic efforts are underway.
According to the president, the vote came during what he described as the “final negotiations” to bring an end to the conflict involving Iran.
According to CNN, Trump reserved particular criticism for four Republican lawmakers who joined Democrats in supporting the measure.
He accused them of seeking publicity rather than acting in the national interest, claiming they were fully aware of the status of negotiations before backing the legislation.
“The Democrats are fueled by Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Trump wrote.
“They would rather have our Country fail than give me another, of many, victories.
The four Republicans, that’s a whole other story — They’re GRANDSTANDERS! They should be ashamed of themselves.”
The legislation, approved by the House on Wednesday, seeks to require the president to end U.S. military involvement in the conflict with Iran unless Congress explicitly authorizes continued action.
Supporters of the measure argue that it is necessary to reaffirm Congress’s constitutional authority over decisions related to war and military engagement.
Democrats and advocates of congressional war powers have framed the vote as an effort to restore legislative oversight and prevent the executive branch from conducting prolonged military operations without congressional approval.
The House action reflects growing debate in Washington over the balance of power between Congress and the president during military conflicts.
While the measure faces uncertain prospects moving forward, it has intensified political divisions over the administration’s handling of the Iran crisis and the broader question of presidential war-making authority.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
