Speaking on Symfoni TV, Senator Seriake Dickson addressed the gathering with warm but pointed remarks directed at new members joining the movement.
”I would like to use my brother from Delta State, a distinguished Nigerian statesman, former Deputy Senate President and presiding officer of the Ninth Senate, Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, to represent all those Nigerian leaders,” he said.
Dickson acknowledged that several of these leaders had only recently belonged to a different political party. “Only a few months ago, we were all in another party that is not doing well,” he noted.
He welcomed them into their new political home, describing their entry as more than just membership. “They have now joined us as co-founders, co-builders and co-visionaries of this movement,” Dickson stated.
The Senator expressed gratitude to those present, saying, “My dear brother and sister, thank you very much.”
Dickson added that the wave of defections extended across Nigeria’s geopolitical divide, with notable figures arriving from both the North and the South joining the growing movement.
