According to Fox Tv, Retired U.S. Army General Jack Keane has reinforced a hardline assessment of the ongoing Iran conflict, arguing that the strategic balance has already shifted decisively and that any future settlement should reflect what he describes as Iran’s weakened position.
In his remarks, Gen. Keane stated that “this should be an unconditional surrender. We have destroyed their capabilities,” emphasizing his view that Iran’s military and strategic infrastructure has been significantly degraded through sustained operations.
He further asserted that the war outcome is already determined in practical terms, saying, “they have lost this war. Our terms are maximalist terms and we are not going to accept anything less than that.” According to his assessment, negotiations should not reflect parity between the two sides but rather the consequences of battlefield developments.
