According to a report by Fox News, on Wednesday April 29, 2026, Exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has urged the international community to maintain and escalate pressure on the Iranian regime, arguing that a coordinated, “all the way” approach is the only path to successfully liberating the country.
In a recent interview, Pahlavi characterized the Iranian government not merely as a political adversary, but as an existential threat to the free world.
He emphasized that the regime, in his view, is fundamentally incapable of moderation or coexistence.
When asked about the current stability of the Iranian leadership, Pahlavi identified repression as the primary tool keeping the regime in power.
However, he also highlighted the regime’s growing economic vulnerabilities as a critical leverage point for the international community.
“The secret to their survival is sheer repression. This regime has not stopped killing people,” Pahlavi stated. “It continues to execute people almost every day. That’s basically what this regime is doing.”
He argued that the regime’s power structure relies heavily on its ability to fund its internal security apparatus and mercenary forces.
“But if they run out of cash, they simply cannot pay their mercenaries, for they cannot sustain their apparatus,” Pahlavi explained. “They will be basically bankrupt. That’s also another way to put pressure on them”.
