Participating in the inaugural national convention of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Abuja was Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State and head of the Kwankwasiyya Movement.
Kwankwaso documented the convention as a historic gathering that drew party members from all over Nigeria on his verified Instagram feed, @sen_kwankwaso. He shared moments from the occasion there.
The former presidential contender claimed that the gathering demonstrated solidarity and a will to fortify democracy across the nation. He said the coalition members were able to plan for the party’s and country’s future together at the meeting.
The NDC’s resolve to run its presidential ticket from Southern Nigeria for four years was also endorsed by Kwankwaso. He went on to say that the judgement would help bring the nation together and promote equity and justice across the country.
Senator Seriake Dickson, the National Leader of the NDC, was also praised by the former governor for hosting a well-coordinated convention.
He was particularly appreciative of the presence of the Obidient Movement and former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, who he said added to the event’s vibe.
