According to punch newspapers, on Monday, April 20, 2026, supporters of former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and ex-Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso have launched the Obi–Kwankwaso Movement, a new political pressure group, as intense permutations build ahead of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary for the 2027 elections.
Unveiled in Abuja on Monday, the group—also known as the OK Movement—has established structures across all 36 states and the FCT, complete with state and zonal coordinators. It merges elements of the Obidient Movement, Kwankwasiyya, remnants of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, and ADC loyalists into a unified front.
National Publicity Secretary Justin Ijeh described the initiative as a coalition of forces determined to offer Nigerians a credible alternative.
