BREAKING: Sanwo-Olu Urges Fair Tax System at National Revenue Summit

According to Arise TV, Lagos State has become the focus of national attention as it hosts the 159th meeting of the Joint Revenue Board. The gathering brings together top officials to discuss better ways of improving revenue across the country.

As part of the programme, members of the board paid a courtesy visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Government House in Marina. The visit created an opportunity for direct engagement on tax policies and economic growth.

Speaking during the meeting, the governor highlighted the importance of taxation in national development. He noted that revenue generated from taxes plays a key role in funding infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other public services.

Sanwo-Olu, however, warned against policies that could slow down business activities. He explained that while governments need to increase internally generated revenue, they must also ensure that taxes do not become a burden on businesses and individuals.

Lagos State continues to lead in revenue generation in Nigeria, making it a fitting host for discussions of this nature. The meeting is expected to help shape better tax strategies that can be adopted across different states.

In the end, the focus remains clear—building a tax system that supports development while protecting economic growth. Stakeholders at the meeting are expected to share ideas that will strengthen revenue without harming productivity.

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
