A video shared on the official X account of News Central TV has generated widespread reactions on social media after it featured comments by All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Kunle Oladeinde, concerning the political prospects of former Anambra State governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
During the interview, Oladeinde expressed doubt over Obi’s ability to match or surpass the performance he recorded in the 2023 presidential election. According to the APC stalwart, the former governor has allegedly lost a significant percentage of the supporters who rallied behind him during the last general election.
Oladeinde argued that Nigeria’s political landscape has changed considerably since the 2023 polls, insisting that many individuals who supported Obi under the Obidient movement have become disillusioned and may not vote for him again in a future election. He maintained that a substantial number of Nigerians have reassessed their political choices and are now likely to support other candidates.
Speaking during the interview, Oladeinde stated, “Let me tell you, I want to bet with any Obidient that if Obi gets more votes than he got the last time, I will give it to him. He can’t get it now because a lot of people are wise. He has lost more than 50% of his supporters.”
The APC chieftain’s remarks have since triggered mixed reactions online, with supporters and critics of Peter Obi taking to various social media platforms to express their opinions. While some agreed with Oladeinde’s assessment, others strongly disagreed, arguing that the former Labour Party candidate continues to enjoy widespread support across different parts of the country.
However, Oladeinde did not provide any evidence or data to back his claim that Peter Obi has lost more than half of his supporters since the 2023 presidential election. Political analysts have noted that the true strength of any candidate’s support base can only be accurately determined during future elections.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
