Malawi Voice is following reports that police are allegedly preparing to effect arrests of former ministers who served under the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) administration in the next hours.
According to inside sources, police are also expected to conduct searches at the homes of several former ministers as investigations intensify.
Meanwhile, Malawi Police Service has not commented on the matter, and there is no official confirmation of the reported developments.
The situation remains fluid.
