According to a Tuesday 19 of May 2026 report by Al Jazeera English, Pakistani officials have disclosed a key disagreement between the United States (US) and Iran as diplomatic efforts continue to secure an end to the ongoing conflict and revive talks over Tehran’s nuclear programme.
Reports from US media stated that Washington is pushing for a single announcement covering all outstanding issues, including both the end of hostilities and a broader nuclear agreement. American officials reportedly prefer a comprehensive declaration that settles military and nuclear matters together rather than in separate stages.
Iran, however, is seeking a different path. Tehran reportedly wants an agreement formally ending the war to be concluded first before any public announcement of a nuclear arrangement is made. Iranian officials are said to believe that securing peace first would create the conditions needed for a more stable and credible nuclear deal.
The disagreement over timing has become another complication in already delicate negotiations between both sides. Pakistan has continued to play an active mediating role, with officials in Islamabad helping to relay proposals and revised terms between Washington and Tehran.
Recent reports indicate Pakistani intermediaries have been involved in passing updated Iranian proposals intended to end the conflict while also reopening the door for long-term nuclear discussions. Pakistan’s involvement has placed the country at the centre of one of the region’s most closely watched diplomatic efforts.
US President, Donald Trump, recently revealed that he had paused a planned military strike against Iran after receiving what he described as a new peace proposal from Tehran. He suggested a diplomatic settlement could still be reached if negotiations progress, while maintaining pressure on Iran to meet US conditions tied to its nuclear programme.
Despite those developments, major differences remain unresolved. US officials have reportedly described Iran’s latest proposal as inadequate, warning that failure to reach an acceptable agreement could increase the risk of renewed military confrontation. Tehran, meanwhile, continues to insist that guarantees linked to ending hostilities must come before committing fully to a nuclear framework.
Regional leaders are said to be monitoring the talks closely, urging both sides to avoid another escalation that could destabilise the Middle East further.
For now, negotiations remain active, but the disagreement over how and when any agreement should be announced highlights the remaining distance between both governments as efforts toward a final deal continue.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
