BREAKING: ADC: The Court Said Return To Status Quo, It Did Not Say Stop Functioning As A Political Party – Ogene

Rep. Afam Ogene, the caucus leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the House of Representatives, has addressed the controversy surrounding the party’s convention, maintaining that the court ruling did not suspend its activities.

This was contained in an interview published by VANGUARD on Wednesday April 22, 2026.

He made the clarification while responding to questions about whether the ADC convention could be regarded as successful amid ongoing legal proceedings.

Ogene stated that the convention was conducted without internal conflict, explaining that the disputes being discussed are part of legal processes currently before the court. He noted that the party has submitted itself to the rule of law but cautioned against using legal actions as a means to stifle its existence.

He emphasized that the court’s directive to maintain the status quo does not translate to a shutdown of party operations, stressing that the ADC remains active and continues to function within the law despite the pending case.

Here’s what he said,

“The court said return to status quo it did not say stop functioning as a political party. You cannot interpret that to mean the party should stop breathing.”

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
