Femi Fani-Kayode, Nigeria’s ambassador designate to Germany has voiced his displeasure over the comments of ADC Chieftain and Elderstateman, Atiku Abubakar. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out the former vice president was disloyal to his principal, former president Olusegun Obasanjo.
Atiku Abubakar, one of the founding members of the African Democratic Congress, ADC and Elderstateman was recently on the spotlight after he declared his ambitions for the 2027 presidential elections.
However, his comments directed towards the vice president and APC Chieftain, Kashim Shettima triggered resentments amongst members of president Tinubu’s cabinet.
Reacting, Femi Fani-Kayode, Nigeria’s ambassador designate to Germany and former aviation minister in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, lamented over the actions of the ADC Chieftain.
According to his statements, he pointed out that while he love the personality of the former vice president and admired his efforts, his assertions were contentious.
Atiku Abubakar, according to Femi Fani-Kayode, from the onset, plotted the removal of his boss as former president, Olusegun Obasanjo during his eight years as vice president.
His actions, according to the former aviation minister, disqualified him from voicing his displeasure with public office holders.
He further maintained that Kashim Shettima, unlike Atiku Abubakar was completely and totally loyal to his principal.
“…As a matter of fact, from day one of the 8 years you were VP till the day we left office you were plotting to remove OBJ from his seat….” He wrote.
