In a recent interview shared by Arise News, renowned economist Mohammed Hayatu-Deen explained his decision to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 elections, positioning himself as a reform-driven alternative in Nigeria’s evolving political space.
Speaking on his political journey, Hayatu-Deen emphasized that his move was deliberate rather than opportunistic. He stated, “I am not an interloper; it took me a long time to leave the PDP and join the ADC because I noticed the PDP was a sinking ship.” His remarks reflect growing concerns over internal crises within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which he suggested had weakened its effectiveness as a credible opposition platform.
The former chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) noted that his transition aligns with a broader vision to contribute meaningfully to national development. He highlighted the need for experienced leadership capable of addressing Nigeria’s pressing economic and security challenges.
Hayatu-Deen also pointed to the ADC’s emerging structure and coalition strength as factors that influenced his decision. According to him, the party presents a viable platform for rebuilding public trust and offering Nigerians a credible alternative.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
