Bolaji Abdullahi, the African Democratic Congress’s national publicity secretary, responded to remarks made by former presidential candidate Peter Obi following his rumoured departure from the party in an interview published in The Sun on May 10, 2026.

After suggesting that the party was experiencing internal strife, Obi clarified that he was not eager to become president but rather cared more about making Nigeria function.

While Abdullahi acknowledged that Obi is under no need to provide specific reasons for his departure from the party, he did stress that some of Obi’s public remarks may cast doubt on the reality of the situation inside the organization.

While Abdullahi was a member of the party, he noted that Obi had a significant impact on its structure and operations. Obi, according to Abdullahi, had a hand in major party leadership decisions and was instrumental in filling several key positions within the party.

People who joined the party as a result of Obi’s influence are likely to hold the crucial job of National Organising Secretary, which he said is at the heart of party strategy and execution.

In addition, Abdullahi disclosed that the party’s leaders frequently had to wait for Obi’s permission before scheduling crucial meetings or decisions, even before the party completely resolved its coalition structure.

This level of influence, he continued, was not known by all coalition members at the time, but it shows that Obi was heavily involved in the party’s inner workings. “That’s why I said Peter Obi does not owe us any explanation on why he’s leaving the party,” he said. However, he should refrain from saying anything that could cause truth-seekers like us to doubt his credibility, he avowed.

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
