According to a report by The Sun on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, Dele Momodu, media entrepreneur and publisher, has condemned what he described as the harassment of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, maintaining that Atiku should be accorded respect for playing a key role in Peter Obi’s early political advancement by selecting him as a vice-presidential candidate.
Momodu expressed his position in a post shared on X on Monday, stating that it was unjust for Atiku to face criticism from certain supporters of Obi, despite having chosen him as his running mate during the 2019 presidential election under the Peoples Democratic Party.
He indicated that such actions overlook the contribution Atiku made to Obi’s national political exposure.
During a subsequent discussion on X Space, Momodu spoke about the 2023 presidential election, addressing ongoing conversations surrounding Obi’s performance.
He questioned assertions that the Labour Party candidate was denied victory, particularly in light of the results recorded in regions widely regarded as his strongholds.
He further examined the broader realities of Nigerian politics, pointing to the difficulty of building nationwide support, especially in a country marked by regional diversity.
According to him, candidates from the southern part of the country cannot depend solely on support from their region if they aim to secure electoral success at the national level.
Momodu also defended Atiku’s continued involvement in politics, describing the former vice president as a figure with significant experience, determination, and focus.
He noted that Atiku secured the second position in the 2023 presidential election, which he said reflects his enduring presence and relevance in the political landscape.
In addition, he addressed the tone of political engagement in the country, calling for more respectful interactions among supporters of different political figures.
He cautioned against the growing trend of insults and hostile exchanges on social media platforms, including attacks directed at President Bola Tinubu.
“Do not let us behave like thugs. I will not agree to anyone abusing Tinubu on this platform. Saying mean things about people is a reflection of who you are,” he added.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
