Haroun Yusuf, a political analyst, has revealed that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has no political structure. Speaking in a video broadcast on TVC News, he stated that the three major political heavyweights—Rabiu Kwankwaso, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi—lack political ideology.
He explained that because of this lack of ideology, these prominent figures keep moving from one party to another as though they are changing clothes. Speaking on the ADC, he emphasized that structure plays a major role in Nigeria’s political space, and with the party lacking it, he questioned how it intends to win the 2027 elections.
He said:
“Structure has a major role to play in politics in Nigeria.”
He further asked:
“What’s the structure of the ADC currently?”
He added that the party lacks grassroots support and appeal. He stated:
“They are just floating. They don’t have any grassroots support or appeal to citizens in Nigeria. How many grassroots ADC followers would go out on that day to vote for the ADC?”
Speaking about the political heavyweights in the ADC, he said, referring to Obi, Kwankwaso, and Atiku:
“These are the three major political figures who gathered millions of votes in 2023. All three of them lack political ideology. That’s why they keep floating from one party to another like they are changing clothes.”
He concluded by advising these political figures to stop jumping from one party to another and instead build on the platforms they already have. He revealed that this would help them in the upcoming elections.
