According to a report by PUNCH on Wednesday 15th April 2026, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Emmanuel Eboh, has called for party unity in Delta North, expressing firm support for Senator Ned Nwoko’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Eboh, speaking in Abuja, cautioned against internal opposition within the party, warning that such divisions could undermine political stability and slow down development in the Anioma region; He maintained that Nwoko remains widely accepted by constituents and should be allowed to focus on his legislative responsibilities without unnecessary distractions.
Describing opposition to the senator’s ambition as misplaced, Eboh argued that it does not reflect the will of the people; He stressed that politics should center on service delivery rather than personal interests or control of party structures.
He credited Nwoko with delivering impactful constituency projects, including improvements in road infrastructure, electrification, education support, potable water, and empowerment programmes, noting that these have strengthened his standing across Delta North.
Eboh also commended the senator’s role in promoting Anioma identity, describing it as a defining contribution to the region’s political relevance and unity.
Calling for cohesion among party stakeholders, particularly in Aniocha/Oshimili, Eboh warned that infighting could weaken the APC’s chances in future elections; He emphasized that continued progress in the district depends on collective support for Nwoko’s leadership.
He further urged constituents to rally behind Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as political alignments begin to take shape ahead of 2027.
