Sheriff Akanbi, the husband of Oluwatosin Bankole, has claimed he was devastated after allegedly finding out that his wife gave birth to twins without informing him.

In an interview with Punch Newspapers on Thursday, July 9, 2026, Akanbi said he only came to believe his wife had delivered twins after consulting an Islamic cleric over the persistent crying of their baby. He said the revelation came as a shock and left him feeling angry because he had not been told about the alleged twin birth.
According to Akanbi, “When I realized my wife truly gave birth to a set of twins, she never told me before then. I was furious that anyone could do such an injustice to me.”
He maintained that he had no prior knowledge of the alleged twin birth and said he only reached that conclusion after seeking spiritual guidance.
