Anthony Ehilebo, a legal practitioner and PDP chieftain, warned that political leaders who abandon or fail to support those who helped them rise could eventually face consequences, making the remark while discussing recent political developments involving FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
According to a video posted on the official YouTube channel of Channels Television on Friday, July 10, 2026, while reacting to Wike’s recent political position, Anthony Ehilebo stated, “if you betray people or do not support those who made you, history will come back for you.”

He specifically referred to Wike’s political journey, expressing the view that past relationships and support should not be overlooked, particularly when evaluating present political decisions and public declarations made during a period of heightened political activity nationwide.
During the interview, Ehilebo also criticized Wike’s support for the current administration, insisting that the minister’s present position differed from earlier remarks he had made about the ruling APC before joining the Federal Government as minister.
