BREAKING: “No Quarrel, He Just Left” – Ulasi Clears Air on Peter Obi’s PDP Departure

Chief Dan Ulasi, chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, clarified his relationship with Peter Obi on Arise News. He said he never quarreled with Peter Obi personally. He explained that his only grievance was that Peter Obi left the PDP for Labour Party without informing stakeholders.

He argues that stakeholders who brought Peter Obi in deserved proper notification. He says he felt personally insulted by the sudden departure. He believes they have since reconciled and Peter Obi has done nothing personally wrong to him.

Dan Ulasi said: “You know in the last interview I had with you people, you raised this question, and I told you I never quarrel with Peter Obi. All that happened was at Ugu, and then governor of Enugu state invited Anambra stakeholders to government house that we should start having our own meetings at Awka and not Enugu, and Peter Obi came to that meeting and addressed the delegates and said he was going to run for the presidency under the party. Two weeks after, without informing anybody, he left and joined the Labour Party. That was when I attacked him. I explained this, and he said if you go back to your record, you will see my interview with you. I said it. I have never quarreled. Beyond that, it was a disagreement that if you have to leave our party, you should inform us. There are stakeholders who brought you in who knew that there’s something you can offer this country, and you just suddenly leave to go to another party without telling anybody. I felt personally that was insultive to me personally. So that was the only problem, and since then we have reconciled.”
