BREAKING: Parties Across Generations Have Used Eagle Square. But In PBAT’s Time, It Is Now APC Property-Abdullahi

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has said that over 3,000 delegates are expected to attend its national convention scheduled for April 14 in Abuja, despite challenges in securing preferred venues.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bola Abdullahi, disclosed in an interview with The PUNCH that authorities had frustrated the party’s attempts to use Eagle Square and the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Velodrome. He, however, maintained that the convention would go ahead at the Rainbow Hotel.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Abdullahi said the party’s ward and state congresses were conducted peacefully. He congratulated the newly elected state executives and chairmen, adding that the process reflected the party’s commitment to internal democracy and the rule of law.

According to The Punch, speaking further, he described the actions of the authorities as an attack on democracy. He stated that more than 3,000 delegates were expected at the convention and explained that the party had submitted a request to use Eagle Square but had not received any response.

Further talking, he said, “They are not giving us permission to use Eagle Square. Is one party bigger than the other party? Yes, we are an opposition political party. But does Eagle Square belong to the APC?

“Parties across generations have used Eagle Square. How come it is during President Bola Tinubu that Eagle Square becomes a property of the ruling party, APC?”

The ADC said it would continue its activities regardless of any actions taken by the government.

Speaking further, the party’s spokesman said he had no evidence at the moment to show that the police and other relevant institutions had failed to respond positively to their requests.

He, however, stressed that the party would not be distracted by any moves from the APC-led Federal Government. He added that party leaders, supporters, and members would gather for a free, fair, and credible national convention, which he said would take place at the Rainbow Hotel in Abuja on April 14.

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
