BREAKING: Political Earthquake Looms as Oladeji Predicts 53% Defeat Margin for Tinubu in 2027 Scenario

Public Affairs Analyst and politician Blessing Oladeji has said that a joint presidential ticket involving Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso could secure a significant electoral advantage over President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Oladeji made the remark during an interview on Volume Pod while analysing Nigeria’s evolving political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections. Her comments come amid increasing public discussions about the possibility of an opposition alliance to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress.

In the interview, she said, “If you have Peter Obi and Kwankwaso on the ballot, the margin in favour of Peter Obi and Kwankwaso is about 53% if two of them run together against President Tinubu.” The statement reflects growing speculation that a coalition between the two opposition figures could reshape the political contest.

Recent political developments have intensified conversations around such an alliance, with reports suggesting renewed talks among opposition leaders over a possible joint ticket. Political analysts say the combination of Obi’s strong support base in the South-East and urban centres, alongside Kwankwaso’s influence in the North, could present a formidable challenge to Tinubu’s re-election ambitions.

Oladeji’s estimate of a 53 per cent margin underscores the belief among some commentators that a united opposition may stand a stronger chance than fragmented candidacies.
