Former presidential aide Reno Omokri said critics would insult President Bola Tinubu and his supporters. Omokri wrote in a post on his X handle, “Watch out for them in the comment section below. They will insult the President and his supporters”.
He was defending President Tinubu’s record on education. “President Tinubu is the best thing to happen to education in Nigeria,” Omokri wrote.
He continued, “Now, watch out for them in the comment section below. They will insult the President and his supporters. They will malign me. They will abuse indiscriminately. They may even curse and swear.”
Omokri said he trusted Nigerians to judge the facts. “Irrespective of their reactions to this truthful commentary, I have every confidence in the ability of Nigerian students and their parents to separate facts from propaganda,” he wrote.
He added that his claims could not be disproved. “However they respond, what they cannot do is factually dispute the above facts, because ‘Renewed Hope’ is not an agenda. It is a tangible and actionable reality for millions of Nigerian students and thousands of university lecturers,” Omokri said.
