Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has shared a new political forecast regarding emerging opposition alliances ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections. His remarks were delivered during a prophetic session published on his official Facebook page on April 28, 2026, where he addressed potential coalition efforts within the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In his statement, Ayodele focused on ongoing discussions surrounding a possible joint presidential ticket involving Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Offering his perspective on the proposed partnership, he expressed skepticism about its viability. According to him, “The Obi-Kwankwaso ticket will not work; the arrangement may not be in order,” indicating that the alliance could face underlying structural and strategic difficulties.
Ayodele acknowledged the individual political strength and influence of both figures but cautioned that merging their platforms may not necessarily produce the desired electoral outcome. He suggested that differences in political priorities, internal dynamics, or competing interests could hinder the effectiveness of such a collaboration.
Expanding on his position, the cleric emphasized that successful coalition-building in politics requires more than shared ambition. He noted that strong alliances are built on careful planning, mutual trust, and clearly defined agreements. Without these elements, he warned, even promising partnerships could struggle to maintain cohesion and deliver results.
He further advised opposition leaders and stakeholders to evaluate their strategies thoroughly before committing to any joint arrangements. In his view, alliances formed out of convenience rather than solid political alignment may ultimately weaken the opposition’s chances in a competitive electoral environment.
Ayodele concluded by urging political actors to take his message seriously as preparations for the 2027 elections continue.
