According to a report by Daily Post on Monday, April 27, 2026, Ladan Salihu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has stated that the administration of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is expected to fall short in the assessment of integrity and credibility during the 2027 general elections.
He maintained that the political atmosphere leading to the elections would place the governing party under serious scrutiny from the electorate across the country.
Salihu made the remarks during an interview session where he responded to questions on national political developments.
The discussion was aired on Channels Television during its Sunday Politics programme, where various political issues were examined.
He used the platform to express his views on the current state of governance and the expectations of Nigerians as the next general elections draw closer.
He explained that the ruling party, led by President Bola Tinubu, would not find the electoral process favourable if current sentiments among citizens persist.
According to him, the prevailing conditions in the country are shaping public opinion in a way that could significantly influence voting behaviour.
He linked this to growing dissatisfaction that he believes is becoming more visible across different segments of society.
Salihu further suggested that the political environment ahead of the 2027 elections would be shaped largely by how citizens evaluate the performance of the present administration.
He indicated that issues surrounding governance, public trust, and delivery of promises would play a central role in how the electorate responds at the polls.
In his view, these factors collectively place the APC government under pressure as the election period approaches.
He also noted that the expectations of Nigerians remain high, especially in relation to economic conditions and general governance outcomes.
He stressed that political accountability would be a major theme during the election cycle, with citizens likely to express their positions through their votes.
He maintained that public sentiment would be a decisive factor in shaping the outcome of the election.
Salihu reiterated that political developments leading up to 2027 would continue to reflect the relationship between the government and the governed.
He stated that the ruling party must contend with increasing public concern, which he believes could translate into electoral consequences.
He emphasized that the political climate would remain dynamic as preparations for the elections progress.
He said, “The APC government led by President Bola Tinubu would face the anger and frustration of Nigerians at the polls.”
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
