According to a report by the Times of Israel on Monday May 18, 2026, after the President of the United States, Donald Trump, posted an image on Truth Social that was developed by artificial intelligence and depicted a map of the Middle East that was covered with an American flag and multiple arrows that were pointing specifically at Iran, tensions around Iran appeared to grow even further.
The message, which was released late on Sunday night, was generally viewed as another public warning from Trump over the threat of further military action against Tehran.
It comes at a time when there has been an increasing amount of conjecture regarding whether or not Washington and Israel could resume strikes following the tenuous ceasefire in warfare that was struck that occurred a month ago.
It was difficult to miss the message, despite the fact that the image itself did not include any written explanation beyond the visual symbolism.
