According to a report by Al Jazeera published on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran has completely broken down after fresh hostilities erupted in the Gulf region. The renewed conflict reportedly followed disagreements over a proposed maritime evacuation corridor, which quickly escalated when three oil tankers, including vessels flying the flags of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, were hit by unidentified projectiles near the Strait of Hormuz. The incident has raised fresh concerns over the security of one of the world’s busiest oil shipping routes.
In response to the attacks, the United States cancelled a temporary sanctions waiver that had previously allowed Iran to continue limited oil exports under a memorandum of understanding reached in June. Shortly afterward, American forces launched a major military operation targeting around 80 Iranian military sites. The strikes focused on air defence systems, naval facilities, and coastal surveillance installations located in Qeshm Island, Sirik, and Bandar Abbas.
Iran, however, claimed its military successfully shot down a US MQ-9 Reaper drone over Bushehr province, although independent sources have not confirmed the claim. Iranian authorities also stated that their forces carried out retaliatory strikes against approximately 85 US military positions across the region. Following these claims, missile interceptions and air raid sirens were reported in Kuwait and Bahrain, reflecting the growing instability across the Gulf.
US defence officials said their operation was aimed at weakening Iran’s military capabilities by targeting missile systems, anti-ship weapons, and drone launch facilities. Meanwhile, Iranian state media reported explosions near commercial ports in Sirik, adding that several people suffered injuries from flying debris.
Speaking during the NATO summit in Ankara, President Donald Trump declared that the ceasefire was effectively over and said there was no value in pursuing further negotiations with Tehran. Regional leaders also expressed concern over the worsening crisis, with senior UAE diplomat Anwar Gargash urging all parties to prevent further escalation and warning that Gulf nations should not continue bearing the consequences of the growing conflict.See more
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
