According to a report by the Times of Israel on Friday July 10, 2026, Iran has issued a fresh warning that Israel could become a target again if the United States continues attacks on Iranian infrastructure, signaling the growing risk that the recent confrontation could spread beyond Washington and Tehran.
Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Council, said any future strikes on the country’s infrastructure would trigger retaliation that would also include Israel. In a statement carried by Iranian state television, he declared, “As we have already announced, any attack on infrastructure will be retaliated against, and the criminal Zionist regime responsible for these atrocities will not be spared from the response of our fighters.”
The remarks mark one of Tehran’s clearest indications yet that it considers Israel part of any broader response should American military operations continue.
